Eihab Taouk DESIGNING MY EXPERIMENT


I have chosen the topic ‘the effect of swimming attire on the speed of a swimmer’. To achieve results on this experiment my plan is to time how fast I can swim from one end to another in a 50m (metre) pool at Roselands Aquatic centre with different kind of attire (clothing).

Definition of attire: Put on special clothes to appear particularly appealing and attractive.

These attire clothing include:

1. Jeans and hoody jumper

2. Swimming shorts

3. Swim suit



• Description of the jeans and hoody jumper:

-Jeans:  black ‘Lee’ jeans

-Hoody jumper: A jumper with black, brown, & white stripes

SET-OUT OF EXPERIMENT


50 METRE SWIMMING POOL
A swimmer will swim 50 metres across the pool with different attire (Jeans and hoody jumper, Swimming shorts & swim suit, while timed with a stopwatch.

Our results are depending on speed and how the attire can affect the swimmers performance.
